Engine
- New liquid-cooled 108cm³ 4-stroke SOHC single-cylinder engine produces stronger power and higher revs than previous air-cooled Lead engine.
- Computerised electronic fuel-injection system delivers excellent performance with smoother operation, lower fuel consumption and full EURO-3 compatibility.
- Fuel consumption improved by nearly 20% over previous Lead for longer cruising range.
- New liquid-cooled engine also provides stronger performance and sharper acceleration, as well as reduced engine noise output.
- Large-volume aircleaner, use of silent chain cam drive, and silencer combine to keep noise levels down to a pleasant minimum.
- Lightweight and compact radiator system attached to side of engine, like Zoomer.
- Liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine with PCV ensures high durability and long-term reliability.
- Push-button electric start only. Kick-starter eliminated.
Chassis
- New scooter frame design positions fuel tank under floorboard area. Wheelbase lengthened and rear suspension layout moved further back for increased fuel tank capacity.
- Longer wheelbase enhances stability for novices.
- Linked front engine mount helps minimise transmission of engine vibration to frame and rider.
- Fuel tank located under spacious floorboard makes big contribution to lower centre of gravity enhancing riding ease.
- Different caster angle and trail from earlier Lead make possible same turning radius, even with longer wheelbase, for easier manoeuvrability in traffic.
- 33mm hydraulic front fork replaces earlier Lead’s trailing-link front suspension system.
- Stylish five-spoke cast aluminium wheels. Front: 12"; rear: 10" with slightly fatter tyre.
- Easy-operation Combined Brake System features 190mm dual-piston calliper front disc brake and 130mm rear drum brake.
