We were honoured to have Sergeant Alexander Ramirez visit our showroom together with members of the Blue Knights Manchester ‘England V’ Chapter. Alex is just about to set out to attempt to become the first law enforcement officer to circle the globe on a motorcycle solo.
Originally from New York City, Alex became a police officer in 1971 moving to Miami, Florida in 1980 to continue his career with the Miami-Dade Police Department until his retirement in January of this year. He became a Blue Knights member in 1977 and his trip is intended to highlight the club which is the World’s largest police motorcycle organisation with over 20,000 members in 27 countries.
Alex will be riding a Honda Transalp 650 and the Blue Knights are facilitating the tour by providing support along the route and arranging relaying escorts and appearances in several countries. |

The unannounced route will take him throughout Western Europe, East across Russia to Asia, and after a flight to Alaska, South down the Alaska/Canada Highway back to the United States.
The first part of Alex’s journey saw him hosted by local Blue Knights members. He is staying with our great friend ‘Peter Pan’ Peter Wardle whilst in Manchester and is spending some time looking around the North West and Wales before taking in Scotland, Ireland and then straight on to the rest of Europe and beyond!
