When you walk through the showroom door and spot our 'new' RC30 and the Dream 50 that is suspended from the ceiling, you'll immediately recognise that boss man John Brown is a classic Honda enthusiast, though his ideas on what constitutes a 'classic' bike might not necessarily fit the norm! - Whilst many may hanker after a mint '69 CB750 (complete with sandcast cases of course!), or maybe a CR110 or two, John loves his 'modern day' classics just as much*. When he recently announced to the lads in the workshop that he'd just taken this NX650 Dominator in part exchange and was going to keep it, nobody expressed any great surprise!
John takes up the story. "I've always loved the 650 Dominator and had several as demo bikes over the years. They were a great bike - a little less refined perhaps than the Transalp which came later, but surprisingly good both on and off road. They have a great riding position, legendary Honda reliability and were simply a whole load of fun to ride. Despite last being produced back in 2002, the Domi still puts a big grin on your face when you fire it up". |
